| Ring sensors – now up to 100 mm |
|
TURCK has extended its product range in the inductive ring sensor field. Now an even larger ring sensor – the S32 XL – is available with an internal diameter of 100 mm. |
|
The 100 mm ring has a built-in amplifier and the adjustable sensitivity enables detection of even the smallest particles, e.g. wires up to a diameter of 4 mm. The TURCK ring sensor family with opening widths from 6 to 100 mm, impress with their high resolution, switching accuracy and the static, dynamic and analogue versions which provide a solution for every application problem.
Inductive ring sensors feature a rotation-symmetric coil array. This special structure induces a concentrated magnetic field inside the coil. Due to the symmetric coil array of the inductive ring sensors, even the minutest metal parts can be detected safely and reliably, independently of their position within the ring. These sensors are particularly suited for detection of parts of varying position that are flexibly guided. These include reliable monitoring of small parts on feeder tubes, such as automatic screwing or riveting machines or other automated assembly systems.
Wire break or tear control in wire drawing processes is easily and reliably accomplished by ring sensors. Ring sensors are not only designed to identify wires and screws of variable size and thickness, but also to differentiate identically sized parts made of different materials. Every material generates a specific voltage signal which can be identified by the controller. Displacement measurements are also simply accomplished by means of a cone-shaped target.
