Turck Extends RFID Capabilities with UHF Read/Write Head

Turck introduces the Q175 compact UHF read/write head, the latest addition to the company’s comprehensive RFID portfolio. This capability allows Turck to expand its RFID technology to accommodate diverse industrial production and logistic processes.
“The Q175 UHF read/write head increases our RFID portfolio by allowing us to venture into applications that previously weren’t possible,” said Matt Boudjouk, Product Manager, Turck. “With longer read/write distances, high speeds and the combination of UHF and HF technology, the addition of the Q175 read/write head enhances our flexibility to provide a total RFID solution for our customers.”
Featuring a ready-to-deploy design, the active read/write head supports the ISO 18000-6C and EPCglobal Gen 2 Standards, and can be easily integrated into existing production lines. For optimal use in harsh applications, the Q175 combines its antenna and electronics in a robust IP67 aluminum housing. It also allows direct mounting on metal, and can be utilized at high temperatures or in autoclaves.
The Q175 UHF read/write head can be operated on Turck’s modular and block BL ident® RFID systems with other HF components.
